A Survey of Delay- and Disruption-Tolerant Networking Applications

Abstract


Delay- and Disruption-Tolerant Networking (DTN) is a new communication paradigm that can span across multiple networks and cope with harsh conditions not envisioned in the Internet model. After more than ten years of active research in the field, numerous implementations and applications have emerged with a wide variety of performance and application domains. In this survey, we summarize recent developments in the field and highlight those areas with high potential for future development.
